The featured photo is a summer capture of a mountain range along Crowsnest highway. It’s a scenic road that shepherds its travelers across the expanse of British Columbia’s southern interior to deliver them views of magnificence such as this. Half a decade ago I was driving westward through that route, and on that trip my gaze wouldn’t avert itself from the clouds passing through the mountain tops – nor from the valleys beneath it which bludgeoned with river water and teemed with variants of life from across the food chain. I spent that 8 hour drive not listening to music – although this was before I had quit – but instead to President Nixon’s White House Farewell Speech that followed his resignation, on loop. That oration has always piqued interests on the nature of desire. I feel it is now time to write on that subject and share it with you.
